The hip adductors are the inner-thigh muscles that draw the leg toward the midline. Beyond that, they help flex the hip and contribute to pelvic stability, working with the abductors to keep the pelvis balanced side-to-side.

Tight or overactive adductors can pull the thigh inward and, when they overpower the glutes, contribute to a knee that collapses inward during squatting and single-leg tasks. Imbalance with the outer hip is the usual issue.

They respond to inner-thigh stretching where tight, and to strengthening where weak, balanced against glute and abductor work. See the hip exercises.
