We built Body & Balance Studio so you can explore posture and corrective exercises with as little data collection as possible. This page explains what happens when you use the site.
Summary
- Posture scan photos never leave your device. Analysis runs entirely in your browser.
- We do not ask you to create an account to use the scan or browse the exercise library.
- If you enable analytics (when configured by the site operator), aggregated usage data may be sent to Google Analytics — never your photos.
Posture scan
When you use the posture scan, you upload standing photos from your device. Those images are processed locally using an on-device pose model (MediaPipe). They are not uploaded to our servers or stored by us.
Your browser may keep photos in memory only for the duration of your session. Closing the tab or refreshing the page clears that session state. We do not receive copies of your images.
Browsing the site
Like most websites, our hosting provider (AWS Amplify) may log standard technical data when you request a page — for example your IP address, browser type, and the page URL. These logs are used for security and operations, not to identify you personally.
The site stores a theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's localStorage if you use the theme toggle. That stays on your device.
Analytics
If Google Analytics is enabled, we use it to understand aggregate traffic (which pages are visited, rough geography, devices). Analytics does not receive your posture photos or any image you select for the scan.
Children
The site is intended for adults and older teens using it with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Wellness, not medical care
Body & Balance Studio provides educational wellness content. It is not a medical service and does not create a clinician–patient relationship. See our FAQ for more on how the scan should be used.
